Seventy Nine
I could never have faith in a religion that encourages hatred on thing's, for example, homosexuality. Even if they didn't encourage hatred, but just didn't believe it wasn't right, I still couldn't have faith in it. Why? I think that we should, as a society, be embracing other people's differences. So let's say for a second, that there is a chance that Allah could be the true god. Then would I really want to be involved in a religion that believes in the following quote (I have heard the follow quote many of times, I'm just unsure if it's from the Qur'an)"For homosexuality involves innumerable evil and harms, and the one to whom it is done would be better off being killed than having this done to him, because after that he will become so evil and so corrupt that there can be no hope of his being reformed, and all good is lost for him, and he will no longer feel any shame before Allah or before His creation." . If Allah was (and is possible) to be the true god, then shouldn't he, as a god, but happy that, that person is happy. However, I would like to point out that not every single Muslim will believe this quote to be true, as their are homosexual's in every single religion. Guaranteed. Also, I know that some Muslim's are fine with homosexuality and have no issue's towards it. Anyway, I was only using Allah as an example, I do not wish to offend anyone. There are many religions I personally couldn't follow. I see everyone as equals regardless of religion, disability, sexuality ect. I just couldn't be involved in a religion that tell's me that something is wrong. As long as you harm none, then that's all that should matter.
