One Thousand & Sixty Two

Theme: Oh. My God!

Mcbusted were fucking amazing. I’ve got so much to write about, I just don’t think my little fingers have the energy to write it all! Okay, so let’s start from the beginning.

We got to Birmingham at around 11ish. Our hotel was literally round the corner (five minutes) from the train station. However, my fault, we ended up walking like five miles in the opposite direction. We got there in the end though! Once we got to the hotel, which was small but served it’s purpose we started the drink and began left our stuff there and went for a gander round Birmingham. I’ve been there plenty of time’s before so I knew my way around a little bit. We went to the Disney store and the Entertainer, Birmingham's stores completely spits on our crappy small ones. especially there Waterstones. My lord. In Birmingham they have like five floors and have every section you could ever imagine. I brought a new book from the psychology section “Severe personality disorders by Otto Kernberg” which looks like a  somewhat handy read. After finally looking round all the shops and was about to head back to the hotel I decided, whilst I was there, to get my navel pierced. That bring’s me up to fifteen peircing’s. I wanted it done down Birmingham because it’s like I’ve took a bit from that day and it’s a physical reminder? If that makes sense?

Once we got back to the hotel we ate pizza and got ready for the Mcbusted concert. Which was fucking fab. I continued to drink there, having tequila in my slushy. Haha. Anyway, we met a weird and wonderful person down there. He was on his own bless him. Once we found our seats the show started pretty fast to be fair. The supporting acts were okay. The first act seemed a little up there own arse and I felt like I needed to get him a shovel to help dig himself out. The second act was ‘e of e’. Brilliant. Can actually see myself listening to them. Then the last supporting act was a bit weird. They were like…nine years old. Just odd. Anyway, that’s when Mcbusted came out. Just an unforgettable experience. Through out the whole thing. I can’t wait to post some of the photo’s we took. I’m going to have to find a website to upload the video’s on and share the link on here. There were time’s when I could have easily cried. Such a good god damn flash back. Half way through the show, Mcbusted came down in this space ship in the middle of the room. It was so well performed. We had brilliant seats. Oh, it’s been recorded for itv. Fearne Cotton was there and came out and informed us! So yeah, top night, top concert. Of course it doesn’t end there!

After getting back to the hotel, we got ready for a night out! We could hear the clubs music from our room, so we went clubbing. That was the plan anyway. We started out at Reflex. Which played all 80’s music. Nice atmosphere but just wasn’t full enough. Seemed a little bit dyer. So we moved on. Whilst we were moving on we got greeted by this one chap. He seemed alright, but didn’t really want to be in his presence to long, he seemed a little predatory. Anyway, he offered to buy us drinks, now I will never turn down a free drink! So we went to this one pub (name unknown) and it was okay, a bit to full and every five seconds I kept feeling people shove past me. Anyway, we let him spend about £30 on us. He brought us a shot of tequila and another drink that was really nice. I told Steve to down her’s so we can bail. After downing the drink he asked us if we wanted to dance, I agreed. As soon as his back was turned and was heading to the dance floor, I told Steve to run and well, there we were. Running down the street. A street we didn’t even know. Half way down the street, we could hear the guy whistling for us. But we carried on running. There was a pub at the end of the road called “Eden”. We decided to go in there for a few minutes to just hide. Those few minutes turned into hours as we stayed there till closing time (4am, oops)

My god let me tell you about Eden. It wasn’t full, it wasn’t empty. The music was 80’s everyone was friendly, from the bar staff, the bouncer and the people going! Bless Steve, she hates dancing so she just sort of shuffled. That soon changed once we got the alcohol down us. We danced with everyone and anyone. It wasn’t until about an hour later did we realise we were in a gay club. We met some lovely people there who we spoke to for a long time. This one guy, we practically spent half the night with. I remember wanting to do karaoke at one point, but instead i just sort of fell on the stage (it’s a small, small stage, a one person stage) so no one really saw. I just remember seeing this hand extend out to me and I grabbed it and I was up and running again. It really was a fantastic club, so thank you to everyone who was there that night. I would love to come and hide with you all again soon!

After Eden we staggered back to our hotel. Got lost. It was a funny walk back. I don't think we bumped into that guy we hid from. If we did, oh well, still here to tell the tale.
